A cosmic journey through the vastness of space is set to take place when a piano duo returns to Chilliwack.
The Bergmann Duo will perform Gustav Holst’s masterpiece, The Planets, on two pianos at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on March 18.
From the driving and powerful sounds of Mars, the Bringer of War to the ethereal beauty of Venus, the Bringer of Peace, the Bergmann Duo will transport listeners to the planets of our solar system through familiar songs from numerous movie scores. This performance celebrates the wonders of the universe and will captivate people with the duo’s interpretation of this timeless program.
The performance will also feature projections of a variety of spectacular celestial images taken largely from the NASA website of the various planets, interspersed with artist renditions.
Gustav Holst’s The Planets is coming to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on March 18 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $32 with discounts for those in the Patron Programs, and can be purchased at the Centre Box Office, online at chilliwackculturalcentre.ca, or by calling 604-391-SHOW(7469).
