One of the original Real Housewives of New York City is sharing her glee at discovering great fashion finds at the Winners store in Abbotsford.

Bethenny Frankel, who is in the Vancouver area to film a movie, posted a video Thursday (Feb. 22) on Instagram and TikTok of her visit to the local off-price department store.

“The TJ Maxx of Canada?” she captions the video.

“So far everyone told me that this area had nothing going on, and it has everything going on. I love it here, I really do. It’s a vibe, and I’m a homebody so I like all this stuff,” she says in the footage as she tours the store.

Frankel’s visit includes a stop at the luggage department, where she scores a small Hello Kitty suitcase for $69.99 – $20 to $30 cheaper than elsewhere, she says.

Frankel next browses the handbag section, commenting on a variety of selections – “OK, Calvin Klein, with your nice backpack” and “The mushiness of this makes it seem upscale” – and saying it’s the “best handbag department” she has seen in “these types of stores.”

Frankel, who has 3.3 million followers on Instagram, also makes stops in the shoe, clothing and houseware departments, and pans to her fully loaded shopping cart before the video ends.

Frankel is in the area filming her first movie, the details of which haven’t yet been revealed.

The American TV personality was featured in eight of the 14 seasons of The Real Housewives of New York City and then in a spin-off series Bethenny Ever After from 2010 to 2012 and Bethenny & Fredrik in 2018.

She also had her own daytime talk show, Bethenny, and the HBO Max reality competition series The Big Shot with Bethenny.

Frankel is also the founder of the lifestyle brand Skinnygirl, the founder of the disaster relief organization BStrong, the author of four self-help books, and the host of two podcasts.
