Congratulations Jay Sharrers, on your induction to the British Columbia Hockey Hall of Fame.

You inspire youth in Hope to become Minor Hockey officials. Being from a small town is an opportunity to grow and pursue goals such as a hockey official. I enjoyed my time as a minor official (20+yrs), being Referee in Chief (RIC Award), meeting and working with other Canadian officials at 4 CARHA World cups, (Toronto 1996, Vancouver 2000, Ottawa 2004, Quebec City 2008).

At one time (1996-97 season), there were 30 Hope Minor hockey officials (Car Scott, Murray Sullivan, Patrick Stewart, TC Smith, Dave Jones, Mat Lothian, Hayley Taylor, Brad and Chris Bone are a few mentions).

Congratulations Jay, on your BCHHOF induction, and thank you.

Pasquale (Pas) Pascucci
