A fire at a property on Othello road made for a busy Tuesday morning (April 9) for Hope firefighters.
Nine firefighters, and four fire apparatuses, were on scene, at a property near Exit 183, to find a workshop and single story structure completely engulfed in fire.
“Due to a lack of water supply nearby, we relied on tender operations for shuttling water to the scene from the closest hydrant in town,” said Hope Deputy Fire Chief Joshua Westcott. “The fires were extinguished by 5:30 a.m., and all fire units cleared the scene.
Both buildings were unoccupied during the fire and no injuries occurred.
The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation.
