One of five individuals recently arrested in connection with stolen vehicles in the eastern Fraser Valley is now wanted by police.

Downie Dee Maccallum was a no-show for her April 9 court appearance facing two counts related to stolen property for two separate incidents, so a warrant was issued.

Chilliwack RCMP issued a press release with information and a description of Maccallum on April 15.

RCMP caution the public that if sighted, Maccallum should not be confronted, but witnesses should call 911.

Downie Dee Maccallum is described as a Caucasian female; height 165 centimetres (5’5”); weight 68 kilograms (150 lbs); with blue eyes and brown hair.

Mounties issued a press release on April 12 about Maccallum and four others charged in connection with stolen vehicles.

The first arrest took place April 1, when an officer noted a car reported stolen to the Abbotsford Police Department (APD) parked in a dirt lot at Nowell Street and Norrish Avenue in Chilliwack. Police responded and found three people in the vehicle.

Maccallum was one of them, she was arrested, charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and released from custody pending her April 9 court appearance. She was also due in court that day facing a count of theft $5,000 or under related to an alleged Oct. 23, 2018 incident.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Downie Dee Maccallum is urged to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
