A power outage along Chilliwack Lake Road will take longer than usual to restore, due to the weather.
BC Hydro spokesperson Kyle Donaldson said the power outage is due to a motor vehicle incident that happened at about 7 p.m. Sunday and is affecting about 2,800 customers.

“The problem is getting to that area,” he said. “The weather is slowing us down in that area and there are winds in the forecast today.”
He reminds the public that if you see a downed power line that it could be live. Stay 10 metres away, about the length of a school bus and call 911 right away.
