Kyla Neustaeter was among about 20 people who took part in the Fridays for Future climate action strike in Hope on Nov. 29.
A small group strikes in front of the Hope District office every Friday at noon, but last week’s strike was also part of a global strike, that included 158 countries. More than 120 registered strikes took place that day in Canada, including Hope.
“We are Hope’s contribution to the global grassroots climate movement #FridaysForFuture, inspired by Swedish activist Greta Thunberg,” Neustaeter said. They will continue to meet every lunch hour, she says.
