A man is facing multiple child pornography charges stemming from offences in Mission on May 30, 2022.

Kostantinos Panagiotis Tsekouras was charged with both accessing and possessing child pornography in early July.

Tsekouras appeared in Abbotsford provincial court on Aug. 1 to consult with counsel and is scheduled to appear in court again on Aug. 28.

According to B.C. Court Services Online, he was previously charged with and found guilty of breaching probation orders several times after offences in Coquitlam and Vancouver.

In 2014, Mission RCMP issued notice to residents that Tsekouras, a convicted sexual offender, was living in the community.

“Our concern here is that Mr. Tsekouras does have a criminal record with a sexual offence conviction and several entries for failing to comply with a probation order,” said Richmond RCMP Cpl. Stephanie Ashton at the time. “Public safety comes first and it’s necessary to advise the public so they can take the necessary steps if approached by him.”

At the time, Tsekouras was released on a peace bond for incidents dating back to 2010.
