Hope RCMP are calling a recent bear mace attack not random.
Police arrived outside Buy-Low Foods on Monday evening (Feb. 27) to find a 40-year-old man being helped by bystanders after he was maced, in a drive-by attack, by Wallace and 5th Avenue.
“A male individual, that is well known to police, had been subjected to the bear spray incident,” said Staff Sgt. Dwayne Farlin. “He is not cooperative and no suspects were identified.”
The victim, after being attended to by paramedics, refused to speak further with police and went home.
