No injuries reported during semi-truck fire on Klassen Road

Five firefighters were on scene to tend to fire in the Esso Station parking lot

No one was injured during a semi-truck fire that occurred early in the morning at the Esso fuel station at Klassen Road.

The Hope Fire Department were on scene early Monday morning (April 17) after a tractor trailer (a type of semi-truck), in the parking lot at the fuel station, caught on fire.

“The Hope Fire Department responded to reports of a semi-truck with flames showing under the hood,” said Fire Chief Thomas Cameron in a press release. “On arrival crews found a tractor trailer in the parking lot with the tractor fully involved. Five firefighters responded to the scene and cleared at approximately 4:30 a.m.”

The cause of the fire, which is not considered suspicious, is still under investigation.
