Overnight incident in Chilliwack involved possible gunshots, multiple arrests

Neighbours reported seeing up to 8 people arrested, one treated in ambulance

Fairfield Island residents reported the sound of gunshots and police vehicles lining Kent Road at Fairwood Drive in Chilliwack late Thursday night.

RCMP lights were seen flashing in the residential neighbourhood late into the night, and yellow tape surrounds the house the day after. The house was still flanked by two police vehicles including a bait car van on Friday.

Neighbours reported on Thursday night that they saw several people arrested, with one person being attended by emergency responders in an ambulance.
