A parade is planned in downtown Hope on Thursday (May 12) – for a car commercial.

A Nissan commercial is being shot along the 400 block of Wallace Street and the scenes include a parade, according to a notice sent to local businesses by the location manager.

There will be a street closure through the day on that block. While businesses can remain open, there will be no parking on the street allowed.

The notice states that both sides of 400 Wallace Street is closed to traffic at 4th and 5th Avenue between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Also, the west side of 5th Avenue from Wallace Street to Fort Street are closed to allow for essential work truck parking.

If the weather is poor on May 12, the filming is also approved for May 13.
