If you have household items you don’t use anymore, here’s a chance to move them along.

The annual Trash to Treasure day takes place Saturday, June 11 in Hope. Any time after 8 a.m. people are invited to put unwanted items in a visible spot outside their home, where treasure hunters can find them without disrupting traffic.

Organizers suggest putting out a “jazzy T2T sign” as well, to let folks know the items are available to take.

At 4 p.m., people are asked to bring any unclaimed items back inside.

According to organizers, the primary purpose of Trash to Treasure is “working together to reduce waste.”

The event is sponsored by the Hope Standard along with Communities in Bloom, the District of Hope, Hope Chamber of Commerce, Buy-Low Foods and Save on Foods.
