A semi-truck caught fire on the edge of Highway 1 outside of Hope Monday afternoon.
The incident was in the westbound lanes just west of Hope, near Silver Creek. The tractor of the unit was completely destroyed by flames, as evidenced by a photo on a local Facebook group.
Traffic is backing up on the highway on ramps in Hope.
