Environment Canada said Hope received 40-60 centimetres of snow since Friday, with the Saturday-Sunday overnight period making up 20 centimetres.
Strong winds also battered Hope, with gusts up to 40-50 kilometres per hour. This also posed a challenge for Environment Canada's measurements as snow drifted from their measuring station at the Hope Aerodome. Agassiz is gusting to 60 km/h.
Cold air is flowing out from the B.C. Interior and meeting up with a low-pressure coastal centre that is directing several bands of snow through the area.
"That low hasn't really moved a lot in the last couple of days, so that's basically given us what we're seeing now," said Environment Canada meteorologist Mike Gismondi.
Environment Canada is predicting 5 cm of snow today and another 2-4 cm tonight. On Monday, Hope will receive another 5cm.
The Hope and District Recreation Centre will be closed today and reopen tomorrow at noon. Fraser-Cascade School District 78 also said that all schools are closed and there will be no buses on Monday due to snow.
