Alex graduated from Hope Secondary School in 2008. He had completed his first year at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. He was studying architecture design and drafting.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our son and brother Alex Lowe.

Alex was a happy, healthy young man with his future ahead of him when he was suddenly taken from us. Alex was at work when he was involved in a horrific motor vehicle accident in Chilliwack. Alex was air lifted to Royal Columbian Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 3:02 PM, July 29th.

Our family would like to thank the paramedics, RCMP and Fire Department of the Chilliwack area, and the doctors, nurses and support staff at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster for all their efforts. We would also like to thank the community of Hope and all the businesses who have been so supportive in our time of sorrow. Alex will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Alex lived a full but short life. He loved the outdoors; he enjoyed hiking, skiing, fishing, dirt biking, camping and downhill biking. During his time with us he did much traveling. He went to Edmonton, the UK, Mexico, Hawaii, Vegas and various places across BC and Canada. Alex always enjoyed watching movies with his family and friends.

Alex always had family and friends around him. He loved to talk to his Nanny for long periods of time. His Papa, Granny and Uncle John were always there for him. His sister, Katie, was always eager to spend time with her big brother. He loved spending as much time as he could with his girlfriend, Larissa. Alex loved driving and was always proud of his cars. He lived a good life and was always happy.

We are very proud of our son and big brother; he will be greatly missed by everyone he knew.

A Celebration of Life is to be held on Friday August 7th at 1PM at the Grace Baptist Church 949 3rd Ave. Hope, BC.
