December 24, 1940 - April 10, 2022
Alexander "Alex/Bill" Stanley Stewart Rout, 17 year resident of Hope, BC, passed peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2022, with his loving wife by his side. Born December 24, 1940, in Oshawa, ON, he fulfilled his dream of living out his senior years in Hope.
Alex was the most wonderful husband and father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother that we all could have hoped for. He was a volunteer for the Hope Crime Prevention Society, and will be remembered for his generous nature and sense of humour. He loved music, dancing and playing golf, and he always cheered for his Boston Bruins.
Survived with love by his wife Mildred "Millie" Rout, children Mike (Lani), Mark and Kimberly (Jeff). Step-children Stephen (Debbie), Evan (Ah Lis), Dwayne (Leanne), Derek (Tamara), Tammy (Darren), and Tyler.
He was the beloved brother of Penny Sleeper (the late Dwight Sleeper), Susan Rout, Debbie Jackson, and the late Jackie Rout (Gerry O'Donohue). Grandfather of Billy (Rylee), Rory, Tashawna (Levi), Kayli, Kendal (Ty), Cheryl (Chris), Kurtis (Lauren), Thamas, Jamie (Eric), Cameron (Kelsay), Liam, Calvin, Emily, Sarah, Allie, Srey Roth, Karlee and great-grandfather of eight.
Predeceased by his parents Mary and Stanley.

Alex will be buried in Whitby, Ontario.
