Barbara Ann Kellum, of Hope, B.C. passed away peacefully at her home in her 91st year on April 1, 2023, with her family at her side. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, John, son Larry (Kay), daughter Linda (Wayne), grandchildren David, Clayton, Michael, Kayla, a large extended family and many great grandchildren who she loved with all her heart.
Barbara took great joy in caring for her family, sewing custom outfits for the children, and cooking fabulous meals for family gatherings, birthdays and holidays. She took pride in keeping her pool in perfect condition and being recognized with certificates of excellence each year. It is the central gathering place in summers where her children, grandchildren
and great grandchildren shared laughter and delight in the kind of loving environment that only an amazing grandmother can provide.
The Hope Eagle's Club and the Hope Legion benefited from Barbara's decades long commitment to volunteering where she served as Madam President for the Ladies Auxiliary in both organizations. She truly believed in the Eagle's motto of "People Helping People" and was always happy to serve her community.
The Kellum family extends special thanks to the Fraser Health Palliative Care team and Just Like Family Home Care for the professional and compassionate aid provided to our
beloved Matriarch.
A private family service will be held for Barbara and a Celebration of Life will be held this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fraser Canyon Hospice Society.
