December 3, 1944 - April 6, 2024
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Barry Barnes (formerly of Hope, B.C.) who passed peacefully in the early hours of April 6, 2024, in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Barry moved to Hope in his teens and attended Hope Secondary High School. He worked at Super Valu and Duecks Lumber before continuing to work for the Department of Highways until his retirement.
Throughout his time in Hope, Barry could be found going for drives and enjoying his tea or coffee at Tim Hortons or Rolly's. He enjoyed this time with locals and staff, and socializing with his witty sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Anne, twin brother and best friend Garry (Ellen), daughters Sheilagh Tepasse (Andy), Tracy Roth (Rob) and his son Greg Barnes (Adele). He will forever be missed by his granddaughters Karli (Thomas) and Kenzie, his grandsons Zachary and Nolan, and his two great-grandsons Levi and Maksen.
We love you and will forever hold your memory close.
As requested by Barry, no service will be held.
