OFFER, Bill (William Ralph)

October 20, 1941 - January 8, 2017

It is with great sadness that we have to say farewell to Bill at the age of 75 after a year long battle with cancer. Bill is survived by his loving wife Sylvia of 43 years, his daughter Lila (Charlie), son Brent (Kim), grandchildren: Ian (Carolyn), Scotty, Stephanie, Melissa and Chad, great grandchildren: Aaliya, Shania and Brayden who brought a sparkle to his eye while going through the hard times of his illness. He is also survived by his brother Matt (Judy), sisters Vicky, Karen, Wendy (Glen) and many loving nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his father Matt, mother Kay and brother Philip. Besides his family his passion was going to work everyday. The more work, the happier he was. He was born in Vancouver. His father was shipped off to war leaving his mother Kay home to take care of Bill and his brother Matt. When his dad returned they settled in Hope and more siblings arrived. Bill worked for many construction companies drilling and blasting, starting with Emil Anderson in the 60's. He used to fly his Cessna 172 Skyhawk into camps and take a couple of guys with him. He will always be loved and never forgotten by his wife and family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion hall, 344 Fort St., Hope, BC.
