Colin HORROBIN

November 5, 2006

Colin George Earl Horrobin, Esquire was born Aug. 16, 1941 in Bedfordshire, England, and lived a full if not long life. When he passed Nov. 5, 2006, he rode out of the M.S.A. I.C.U. on the winds of one of the area's largest storms to date. He was always drawn to turbulence...

Born into the turbulence of war and family, he often seemed to seek it out throughout his early life. When we met he was only 25, yet he told me he had had enough adventures for one lifetime already. He took a great many risks in his youth and lived to tell the tales, but in the end it cost him his golden years. Time he could have spent with his loving family and friends. C.O.P.D. was the one obstacle he could not overcome.

He leaves behind his wife of almost 37 years Judy Lyn (nee Hart), two loving daughters Loreena (Doug) and Letisha (Ted) and their sons, his grandsons Remington (5) and Marshall (3). His loyal love, patient understanding, quiet guidance, good advice and tolerance will also be greatly missed by his much loved younger half siblings. Brothers Bruce, Graham, David, and baby sister Nancy all learned by either his counsel or his example. He is also sorrowfully survived by his father Ronald Earle Drew.

All of us who knew and loved Colin would like to extend our invitation to join us in a Celebration of Colin's Life Dec. 15/06 from 4-7 p.m. at the Hope Royal Canadian Legion Hall, 344 Fort St., Hope, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree or rose bush or a good deed and make the world a bit brighter in his memory.
