July 6, 1938 - May 19, 2023
Don Amyott (Donald Christian Amyott), of Hope, BC, passed away while at the Doug and MacDonald Langley Hospice Residence, on May 19, 2023 at the age of 84.
He will be dearly missed, and the world is a better place after having him in it.
Don was born in 1938 in Edmonton, Alberta. Don had 6 siblings - 2 older brothers - Neal and Tom, 2 older sisters - Kay & Margie all who have already passed, and 2 younger sisters - Mary-Lynn in Quesnel and Jo in Salmon Arm who are still with us.
Don married Margaret Heather Campbell in Fort St. John BC on May 31, 1960. Soon after that, they moved to Fort Nelson and bought their first home. Their 3 sons were born in Fort Nelson.
Don leaves behind his loving wife Marg, of 63 years and his three sons Joe ( & Cathy), Terry (& Barb) and Monte (& Georgia), his grandchildren - Travis, Fraser, Tara, and Tyler (& Jessica) and his Great Grandchildren - Nate, Easton, Aubrey, Bronwyn, and Ella.
Thanks to Doctor Wolff & Doctor Markey (family doctors) for their kind & sincere care during Don's health challenges .We would also like to thank the nurses and volunteers at the Langley Hospice for all their love & support for Don and our family during his stay there.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday July 15th, 2023 - at the Northwest Harvest Church, 888 3rd Avenue in Hope BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, or a charity of your choice.
