On Jan. 30, 2018, 81 year old Doris Odendahl (nee Simister) passed away peacefully at the Fraser Hope Lodge. Special thanks to the staff there who made her final days comfortable.
Doris worked as a Classified Ad Clerk at both Lillooet's Bridge River Lillooet News and North Shore News in North Vancouver. After retiring she volunteered for Santa's Anonymous in Vernon, a non-profit organization which distributes toys to less fortunate families. Her spare time was filled with endless crafting and sewing projects.
Doris and Ralph were married for 28 years and together had 3 children. Doris is survived by one brother Morris (Nina) Simister, children Raymond (Sharon Common), Roberta (Dan Weir) and Russell (Marguerite), 6 grandchildren and 7 'greats'.
Her final resting place will be Trail BC, interment to be arranged at a later date.
It will be a special time for her family to "Lighten Up and Have Fun" while celebrating her life and her love.
