ELLIOTT, EVELYN MAY
Evelyn May Elliott passed away on August 04, 2006 at the age of 88 with her daughters by her side. Predeceased by her husband John William Elliott. Evelyn is survived by her loving daughters: Eva (Ron) Andrew, Marlene (Clark) Fletcher and Doreen (Barry) Schofield, sisters: Myrtle LaRocque, Josie LaRocque and Lil Ealey, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great greatgrandchild.
Evelyn was the best mom and grandma. Spending time with her family and friends was her greatest joy. She loved to quilt and embroider. Her hands were never idle. She loved and took pride in the competition that bowling and the Senior games would provide. Evelyn loved to show off her many medals she had earned. Cards was another one of her passions and she was always ready for a game. The family will dearly miss her delicious butter tarts.
A private family Graveside Service was held Monday, August 08, 2006 @10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life that was held @ 1:00 p.m. at the Canyon Golden Age Society Hall, 560 Douglas Street, Hope, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Auxiliary to the Fraser Canyon Hospital in memory of Evelyn. Special thanks to Dr. Fourie, nurses and staff of the Fraser Canyon Hospital and many friends.
