March 27, 1935 - January 7, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces that our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend has passed from this earth in her sleep in the early hours of January 7, 2019.

Flo was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan in 1935 and was the eldest of 13 children. In the 1950s she made her way to Edmonton but in 1966 she and her husband Roy found their true home in Hope, BC. Flo worked at the Hope Hotel for many years and she, with husband Roy, were also the co-owners of Canyon Taxi for a period of time.

Flo enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends and she had the most unique way of shuffling cards that was amazing and impossible to imitate. Her baked pies and tarts were second to none. Flo was welcoming to everyone and happy to share her joy and laughter with all of us. Let us remember her for her honesty, wry smile and non-judgmental manner.

She was predeceased by husband Roy in 1999, and her son Brian in 2015, but is survived by her children Sharon Lundgren, George Gaine, Cliff (Kelly) Gaine, and Sandy (Mark) Willey, as well as her 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Flo is also survived by her five siblings: Edmonton's Betty (Syl) Soenen, and Russ (Erline) Barber, Fort St John's Cliff (Gloria) Barber, New Denver's Elaine (Wayne) Butler, and Kelowna's Gladys Chretien, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their children.

A Memorial Service will be held later this spring when we can get the whole family together safely.
