It is with deep sadness that we announce our beloved mother, Frances, has passed away.
Frances is predeceased by her husband Lauris, (2015); survived by her 8 children - Lourie (Doug), Barry (Glenda), Leta (Gord), Cindy (Darren), Sharon (Mack), Karen (Neal), Kelly (Margot), Tanya (Jan); 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, (soon to be 16).
Mom, a piece of our heart has left each one of us. You have shown us great strength during your illness and we know you have left that strength with each of us kids. Your capacity for love was boundless. There wasn't one person in your family - immediate or extended - who you didn't give a piece of your heart to. Through all the messages we have been receiving, we know you have left each and every person you've known with a feeling of gratitude. Grateful to have known the woman who was quick to help, smile, laugh, love and encourage. You'll be with us when we're watching the Blue Jays, tobogganing, picking shells off the beach and kayaking. Every time we pick up a deck of cards, you'll be right there playing with us (you go, Hugo)! We love you to pieces!!
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Frances's name to the Canadian Red Cross (equipment supply for home use), Hope Hospice Society or the Canadian Cancer Agency.
