HARVEY (nee OSTMAN),

Louisa Victoria

April 22, 1913 - April 19, 2008

Louise's life journey came to an end after a sudden illness, three days before her 95th birthday. She is deeply missed by her loving family - two sons, Keith (Judi) and Chris (Suzan) and two grandchildren, Sadie and Grant. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother.

She was born in Vancouver to Ernst Fredrik Ostman and Minnie (nee Wood). She married Thomas Wheatly Harvey on October 5, 1935 in Vancouver and moved to Whonnock where they set up their home and started a family. In 1948, the family moved to Hope and became an active participant in the business and community.

She was predeceased by her husband, Tom, sisters, Thelma Happy and Gina Kendrick, and brother Ernest Ostman.

She was a very active woman, who worked right up to the end of March, 2008. She was also an active participant in her church. Her inspiration, work ethic, kindness and compassion earned her much respect. She always lived with a positive attitude and cared deeply for all her friends and family. She lived her life with enthusiasm. She especially enjoyed her little office at Canyon Agencies, where many friends and acquaintances dropped by to chat. And also where many came to get married. It kept her in touch with the town she loved and she often commented that Hope was such a nice place to live. She leaves a great void in our lives.

A Traditional Service will be held on April 25 at 1 pm at the Anglican Church in Hope. (corner of Fraser Ave and Park St)

We wish to thank Dr. Nyirenda and the staff at Fraser Canyon Hospital for their dedication and kindness. Special thanks also to her long time friends in the Eastern star and Anglican Church Women's Auxiliary.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Anglican Church and/or Eastern Star would be appreciated.
