September 22, 1944 - September 11, 2021
Born in Surrey BC, September 22, 1944 to parents Herbert and Lillian Brown. Herb lived life as fully as able while living with cancer in his last few years. On September 11th, 2021 in Hope BC, the Creator came to escort Herb to his eternal home.
He passed from this world to the next peacefully with his wife of 39 years, Elsie, by his side.
Herb is survived by his wife Elsie Norquay-Brown, sons Kelly and Chris, as well as numerous grandchildren and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Linda Kerfoot.
Herb was a roofer by trade and later moved into doing security. Herb loved being outdoors and volunteered in Yale maintaining the lawns and gardens at the local community centre. Herb was also known for his humor, blunt attitude and his stories.
He could often be found at the local hangout, Barry's Trading Post, sharing a story and much laughter at the vivid tales he told. Herb will be missed but his stories will live on in his community and with those who shared in them.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date due to present Covid restrictions.
Donations can be made in Herb's memory to the Fraser Canyon Hospice Society. Their kindness and compassion was gratefully appreciated.
