In Loving Memory of Jack Goldie
Jack was born March 23, 1921 in St. James Manitoba. He grew up in Vancouver and when they called for men to enlist for WWII he and his buddies joined the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada.
On his return to Canada Jack moved to Port Alberni and married Audrey Rutherford.
They raised two lovely daughters Sandra and Val. Jack worked for Macmillon Bloedel until retirement and remained a lifetime resident of Port Alberni.
On April 18, 2010 Jack passed away. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Joanna Goldie, brother; James Goldie sisters; Jenny Milne, Agnes Walton and Marguerite Lamb, daughter; Sandra Campbell and granddaughter; Michelle Adams.
Jack is survived by his daughter Val (Bruce) Adams, son-in-law Gary Campbell, grandchildren; Dave (Angie) Adams, Carrie (Gary) Martindale, Kieth Campbell, Corey Campbell and Jake Offirne, great grandchildren; Rianna, Kristen, Brandon, Ashley, Robbie,
Jacob and Kody, and great great grandchild, Cameron. Jack had many relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. A Service of remembrance will be held on Saturday May 1, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at the Hope Legion.
