Born on August 31st 1946 in Oss, The Netherlands, Ken passed away surrounded by his loved ones on January 27th 2018 in Hope BC.
Ken was predeceased by his father Colin Campbell. He is survived by his wife Patsy Campbell, and his children Dawn Kelly, her husband Derek and their children Emma and Megan; Lara Sarginson, her husband Kevin and their children Zachary and Riley; Justin Petersen, his wife Erin and their children Shae and Riah; Jared Petersen, his wife Claudia and their daughter Annalia.
He is also survived by his Mother Aleyda Campbell, siblings Dwight Campbell and Lark Balmer and several nieces and nephews.
Ken was dearly loved by his family and his dog Brier. He worked as Secretary-Treasurer in School District 78 as well as in Haida Gwaii just before he retired. He will be remembered for his mentorship at work, his passion for curling, and as a gold medal-winning BC Senior Games swimmer. Ken loved dusters, Elvis, adventures with Patsy, and spending time with his family and his friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 8th at 1:30 pm at the Grace Baptist Church, followed by a gathering at the Hope Curling Club.
In lieu of flowers, a high school scholarship has been established in Ken's name.
