FRANCIS, Marie
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marie Francis, our loving mother, grandmother and best friend on Saturday, August 22nd. Sweet Marie was born Jan. 12 1942 in Bellis, Alberta. She entered the Canadian Armed Forces in 1942 at just 15 years of age. Discharged in 1946, the exposure to the medical profession stayed with her and after raising three children she returned to college and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Later she would meet her life partner Bill and move to BC where together they ran the Snow White Campsite in Hope.
Marie is survived by many loving family members and friends. The family requests no service, but donations in memoriam may be made to the Hope Ladies Hospital Auxiliary.
