April 27, 1941 - January 29, 2024

In Loving Memory ~

Mervin Earl Wejr passed away peacefully on January 29, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer.

Survived by his wife Hila, sons Neil (Theresa), Michael (Linda), 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Dad was born April 27, 1941 in Chilliwack, BC to Henry and Vera Wejr and grew up in Hope, BC. In 1970 Dad and mom took on a new venture moving to Williams Lake and purchasing Borkowski Men's Wear.

Building roots in the community, dad proudly joined the Williams Lake Stampede Assoc. where he took on many tasks but really enjoyed being director of the "famous" stampede barn dances.

Dad's calling was the transportation industry managing the local Motorways Branch for many years. He moved to Summerland in 1986 and was the Safety Supervisor of Transportation for Berry and Smith Trucking until his retirement.

Dad's big hobby was making his own wine which he became very good at. In retirement dad and mom enjoyed RV camping and travelling to Arizona.

Rest in peace dad, miss you.
