Bob Ridgway, beloved husband, father, grandfather and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on June 13th, 2023, in Hope, BC, surrounded by his loving wife Lois of 44 years and his daughters.

Born on October 19th, 1951, Bob was the cherished son of Joseph Gordon Ridgway and Mildred Matilda Ridgway. His parents, who were incredible sources of love and support, shaped the foundation of his life.

Bob's sister, Joanne Eleanor Stevens, held a special place in his heart. Her presence brought joy and laughter to their lives, and her memory will forever be cherished.

Bob's dedication to his family was unparalleled. As a devoted husband, he stood as a pillar of strength and support, bringing joy and stability to his marriage with his wife Lois. Their bond was a shining example of love's endurance.
As a father, Bob's love knew no bounds. Krystal(Turel), Karolyn, and Steven(Marie-Eve)were his pride and joy, and he poured his heart into their lives. His guidance, wisdom, sense of humour and unconditional love will forever shape their paths.

Bob was also a loving Booboo (grandpa) to his four grandchildren: Odin, Octévia, Osiris, and Oxsana. He cherished the special bond he shared with each of them, creating countless memories filled with laughter and love.

Music held a special place in Bob's heart, and he had a deep love for rock and roll. The rhythm, energy, and spirit of the music resonated with him, and he found solace and joy in its melodies. Whether attending concerts, playing his favourite songs, or sharing his passion with others, Bob's love for rock and roll was an integral part of his life.

Bob was an active member of the community, dedicating his time and energy to various organizations. He was a proud member of the Lions Club, where he selflessly served the community, making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Bob's passion for sports led him to be an active member of the Hope Curling Club and participate in the 2-Pitch Softball league where he enjoyed friendly competition and backyard shenanigans.

In addition to his other pastimes, Bob's favourite was gathering family and friends around the barbecue. His barbecues were always filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of good food and can't forget the bean bags.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion.
His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, friends, and the community he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as Bobby R.
