Born April 30, 1919, passed away at Burnaby, BC on Sunday evening, Feb. 28, 2010, following
complications from a stroke suffered in mid-November.
Rosamund was the 3rd eldest of 9 children born to Lillian and James Turner, a pioneering Victoria
farming family. Rosamund graduated from the Royal
Jubilee School of Nursing, then served overseas with
Canadian Forces Nursing Sisters in Italy and England during
WW II, returning to settle in Burnaby, raising daughters
Terri and Marian, and sons Gordon and Rick. She is survived
by her children and their families, which include 9
grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Rosamund was an active 50+ year member of East Burnaby United Church; she was a compassionate and good woman, she has fought the good fight, she has finished her course, she has kept the faith. Rosamund also enjoyed membership of over 30 years with the West Coast Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines, which gave her great enjoyment,
lifelong friendships, and allowed her to travel and compete. Services were held in Burnaby March 6 and Royal Oak Burial Park, Victoria March 8. Terri would like to especially thank the residents of Hope who loved and supported her Mom in her last 2 years here.
