April 27, 1955 - January 6, 2024

Sunrise April 27, 1955 - Sunset January 6, 2024.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandma, sister, auntie and incredibly wonderful friend, Rosie.

She is survived by her two daughters, Bekki (Robbi) and Jenni (Chato) grandchildren, Cadence and Deacon, brothers Bunny (Cathy), Rolly (Jackie), sisters Roberta, Ros (John), Rosa (Roland) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends predeceased by her mom and dad, brothers Bob and Butch.

Born in Chilliwack BC in 1955, Rosie lived and worked all of her life in Hope BC. Her daughters Bekki and Jenni and her grandchildren, Cadence and Deacon were her pride and joy. She was very proud of her heritage and the right to food fish. A lot of her best days had been spent at our fishing grounds. Even later on when the opportunity came up to visit the grounds, she managed to do that in her wheelchair with the help of her brother, Rolly.

Although Rosie battled illness for many years up until her passing, she always had a big smile, positive words, and was able to make the best out of situations that most would not want to deal with. She made good use of her scooter over the years whenever she could get out. Rosie was ever grateful for the care she received over the years from FCH, Riverside and The Lodge.

She enjoyed all of her visitors no matter where she was and looked forward to simple things like playing TV bingo with Bekki and Robin.

Special thanks to Dr. Switzer and the Hope Medical Centre staff for years of unwavering care of Rosie.

We are all honored to have known and been a part of Rosie's life.

She will be forever missed.

"You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she'd want, smile, open your eyes, love and go on."
