ROY WELLS
March 1936 - December 2006
For "Uncle Roy"
Roy Wells passed away, quietly at home on Sunday on Dec. 10th. Lovingly known as "Uncle Roy" by friends and family alike. He will be sorely missed by many as he held the honorable title of the last remaining elder of the Wells family.
Uncle Roy is survived by Mrs. June Wells, wife of Ritchie, all of her children, and many, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, as well.
Predeceased by his sister Pat and brothers Harold, Wilfred (Bill), Ritchie, Albert (Albie), Herbert (Buster), Jim, Ben and mother Sarah.
We wish to thank the attending RCMP officers and victim services personnel for their compassion and kindness.
There will be no services by request. However, his ashes and the ashes of his late wife, Carol Baker, will be interred and a ceremony will be performed at a later date. Location and time will be announced then.
Great Spirit and the maker of all life, a warrior goes to you swift and straight, as an arrow shot into the sun. Welcome him and let him take his place at the counsel fires of my people. My Uncle . . . tell them to be patient and ask death for speed, for all your brothers, sisters and forefathers are there, waiting for you to join them.
