November 16, 1945 - December 7, 2023
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Thomas (Tom) Rice on December 7th, 2023 at Chilliwack General Hospital. Tom was 78 years of age.
Born November 16, 1945 in Montreal, Quebec and moved to B.C. with his parents, brother and sisters.
Tom was a mechanic by trade. He managed Junction Chevron in the 80's and also operated a tow truck in the Hope area. He loved boating, fishing and going on camping trips with his wife Georgina.
His favourite places were the Sunshine Coast and Watch Lake in the Cariboo. He enjoyed visiting historical sites on their many camping trips. If there were planes involved that was even better.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Mary Rice, and by his older brother Harold Rice Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Georgina, and his sisters Susan Rice (Bob) and Barbara Rice, plus many nephews and nieces.
No funeral service by request.
