William George (Bill) Schwartz slipped away peacefully on March 20, 2005 after a long and hard fought battle with C.O.P.D. and heart disease. Bill is survived by his wife Louella, sons: Gary (Linda), Bill (Terri) and Jim, stepsons: Ronald, Kenneth, Warren and Donnie, grandchildren: Garion, Jacqueline, Marissa, Nathan, Logan and Lindsay, brothers: Harold (Helen), Howard (Lettie), Edward (Mary Ann) and Bob, and God son: Ross. He was predeceased by his first wife Olive, mother Auguste and father George. Bill was born December 24, 1920 in Winnipeg, MB, where he joined the Navy in 1938. In 1963 he moved to Pinawa, southern Manitoba, a small town being developed by AECL, where he worked as a security guard, special constable, fireman and ambulance attendant. A short stay in Victoria, BC and then on to beautiful Hope, BC where he lived happily for the last 15 years of his life. A Church Service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hope United Church. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
