Last Wednesday, I received a call from one of my customers and she asked if I had just made a prank call to her phone, as my number and business name came up on her call display.
I called the security department of Telus and they informed me that it is possible for people to use whatever name and number they want by hacking into the system. Telus also said there was nothing I could do to stop it.
However, if you receive any prank call you can immediately phone *57 – only then can Telus trace the source of the prank.
The prank calls with Canyon Glass on the display do not originate from my business.
