Speed is a big part of Nikita Nesterenko’s game and the new Chilliwack Chiefs recruit will bring his wheels to Prospera Centre this fall.

The Chilliwack Chiefs are on the road Aug. 23, but they aren’t going far.

The team will hit the ice at Hope Arena for the first of four pre-season exhibition games. The puck drops at 7 p.m., and they’ll face off against the Wenatchee Wild. They’ll also play Aug. 24 in Surrey, Aug. 29 at the newly-finished Sardis Sports Complex for the grand opening (facing Langley), and finally at home ice on Aug. 31 against the Surrey Eagles.

The Chiefs are in training right now for the season ahead, which kicks off Sept. 8 in Langley. The Chiefs first home game this season is Sept. 20 against the Prince George Spruce Kings.
