With two candidates running for mayor, 13 candidates running as council hopefuls, and four candidates running as school board trustees, here’s all the ways you can vote before and during election day.
Hope’s 2022 election for council and the school board will take place on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Hope Secondary School on 444th Stuart St. Fear not if you’re unable to vote on that day — advanced voting, mail ballot voting, and special voting are available this election for the residents of Hope.
For advanced voting, voters can go to the Hope Legion Hall on Oct. 5 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., or to Hope Secondary on Oct. 8 between the same time.
Additionally until Oct. 13, mail ballot packages are available to anyone wishing to mail in their ballot. To receive a ballot package, voters must give their name and address to Chief Election Officer Kelly Ridley, or Deputy Chief Election Officer Branden Morgan, through email, phone, or going in-person to their offices. Ballots must be mailed to the District of Hope by Oct. 15.

Special voting opportunities are also available on Oct. 15 for residents of the Fraser Canyon Hospital, Park Street Manor, Riverside Manor, and those those admitted to the hospital as patients. Those with special voting can vote at the Riverside Manor between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., Fraser Hope Lodge between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Fraser Canyon Hospital between 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m., and Park Street Manor between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
