Over the next few weeks, boat users hoping to use the Rupert Street boat launch will need to find another way to access the river.

As of Friday (May 26), access to the launch is restricted due to a sewer project that the District of Hope has started near it. According to the district, construction is expected to take up to three weeks.

“We are fortunate to be able to complete this work while the river is high, allowing river uses to launch their boats on Wardle Street,” the district said via Facebook. “Thank you for your patience and understanding while we undetake this important infrastructure project.”
